Let's face it. We always forget that anytime soon or later, we're going to face death. And then the alam kubur. And then we're going to face through the Sirat.. and our doings dekat dunia will be weighed.. and to those who haven't done much, they will fall down to Hell. If we only know and constantly keep in mind of how torturous, how excruciating the pain if we're in Hell, I'm sure this world is with its utmost peace, love, respect and tranquility. IF ONLY.

But of course, most of us think that we only live here in this world and that's that. Most of us don't even believe there's life after this. If you're a Muslim, you're entitled to believe there is God and He is Allah, the One and Only. You must believe that His last Messenger is Rasulullah SAW and other Prophets before Rasulullah SAW. You must believe the Books (Kitab2) as the words by Allah. You must believe and acknowledge the existence of the Angels and the Qada and Qadar, which is everything and anything that happens or has happened or will happen is in the power of The Almighty and you can't change anything about it, but you can pray for the best and He will change your 'takdir' if He wills.

And last but not least, you must also believe the existence of the Hereafter, which WILL happen, soon or later. So if you call yourself a muslim, you must believe in these things.. and believing leads to doing. Doing stuff that will save you from the undescribable torment of Hell, and hence reserve a place for you in Heaven....may this be a reminder for you and for me.

Ya Akhi..

Why are you still calling me?

I thought we should leave our past Jahiliyyah totally,

And strive to be

Future leaders and Jannah-tees

Ya Akhi..

Why are you still calling me?

You tell me not to talk to guys unnecessarily,

And yet you still call to check up on me?

But for what? Why do you still do that?

When I've found Him I can't possibly be sad

Or feel weak or dependent on you,

Bcos now with Him I can get myself to face it through.

So Akhi..

After you've led me find,

A thing that is so so fine,

I think it's high time for you to leave me,

And I mean leave me COMPLETELY.

Don't worry I'll be okay,

I have my sisters with me to pray,

Not just for me, but for everybody

In the worldwide Muslim community

So wake up Ya Akhi stop being a foo'!

Shake up the remnants of Jahiliyyah inside you!

And let us strive to be, an Akhi or Ukhti,

Doing it just for the sake of He.

The Coolest Thing in This World is...

Yknow..as we age, or grow up, our perceptions toward things (e.g. food, clothes, people, LIFE) change. And I couldn't agree more to that.

I used to think wearing the hip and cool clothes showed in the Western magazines were THE in thing to do, and so I had thought I'd continue doing so till I die. Or going to movies, or hanging out with friends or boyfriends at cafe, having fun at parties and clubs are THE life to live for.

Heh. I was wrong.

I couldn't believe I was so stupid before. So disillusioned by those media and psychological war coming from the West. But nothing can stop me from finding the truth in this life..as I aged, and grew more mature, I realize that I've found the COOLEST thing ever :)

And it's ISLAM. Yknow the word itself means something, which is submission. Submission to whom? of course to Allah, the One and Only. And by submission to Him we obey His suruhan, and leave whatever He prohibits. Obeying His commands can be a lot, but honestly, we do it because of Him, right? So that we can go to heaven and eventually see who He really is, right? That itself is a blessing that is indescribable. Who wouldn't want to meet THE One, who has created us- created EVERY SINGLE thing in this world- that includes happiness, love, cherishment, and everything else you can imagine. I would like to think that no matter how much we praise Him, if everybody in this world is praising him, it would never be enough because His Greatness is beyond what can be counted or measured.

Islam is a way of life. You eat, drink, sleep, bathe because of Allah. How you dress, how you interact with people, how you behave-- everything is conducted within the boundries of Islam. And each muslim in this world is treated as either a brother or sister, full with love and respect. We unite in the name of Islam, we seperate in the name of Islam. Brotherhood or sisterhood can be the greatest thing ever in this world too, provided that that -hood....

...is in ISLAM.
